Announcing Southern Lakes Rush

Geneva Lake Rush is excited to announce a new partnership with fellow Rush club Delavan Rush: a select only club named Southern Lakes Rush. Southern Lakes Rush will provide a locally based, competitive soccer program that strives to offer players higher level soccer while keeping costs affordable. Geneva Lakes Rush will continue to offer the same recreational soccer programs.

What are the benefits of the partnership?

  • Larger player pool allows us to form higher level teams and ensure all players are playing at their proper level
  • Paid coaching staff
  • Consistent club philosophy across all teams and levels
  • Standards based Rush curriculum focused on player development
  • Location reduces travel to practices and home games
  • Opportunities to guest with other Rush clubs at tournaments and Rush events

What if my player wants to play recreational soccer?

Geneva Lake Rush will continue to offer recreational programs and form teams for ages 8u through 15u that play in the Stateline league, but will no longer offer competitive teams. You can simply register your player for our recreational programs.

What if my player wants to play select soccer?

If your player is interested in trying out for a competitive team, visit the website for more information and to sign up for tryouts for the Fall 2022 / Spring 2023 season. Southern Lakes Rush will be holding tryouts for ages 11u through high school (birth year 2004-2012).

Practices will be held at Phoenix Middle School in Delavan (Duck Pond in Fontana may also be used as an alternative site). Home matches will be played at Phoenix Middle School, Big Foot High School, and Delavan-Darien High School.

Southern Lakes Rush will operate as a completely independent club from Geneva Lake Rush and is open to any interested players. Board members from Geneva Lake Rush will serve on the board of Southern Lakes Rush to ensure cooperation and coordination between the recreational and competitive clubs.

We are excited to work together to provide more opportunities for high level soccer in Walworth County!
